… you always hear the expression “All good things must pass” as if it actually helps you when you lose something near and dear to you, but it doesn’t. I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye as I was just informed that my beloved Honda CRX has engine problems that might be too expensive to fix… the poor little gal was fighting right up to the end (even when it embarrassingly didn’t want to go any further on 41st and FRIGGING Marion on Sat, as I tried to get it to the car hospital). It lived a good car life. It didn’t look like much anymore, but it was with me through good times and bad, bought with 100k miles on it well before the volleyball courts were even a twinkle in my eye… over 15 years it has been with me. It survived two hit and run accidents (and may these people STILL rot in hell, lol) a deer collision, me drunkenly backing into it on my 40th birthday trying to deliver a picnic table, two engines, and lots of my own sweat and blood fixing it… and fixing it, and fixing it.

But alas. It is no longer drivable… and it will be a new day tomorrow.

Goodbye little car… you will be missed.
